Lighting Quotation Checklist for UAE and Saudi Arabia Projects
On 23 September 20261. The latest drawings and quantities
Share the reflected ceiling plan, lighting layout and fixture schedule. Include drawing revision numbers, quantities and the installation city. Mark any areas that are still being designed so they are not mistaken for final scope.
2. How each fitting will be installed
State the ceiling type, mounting method and available depth. Include cut-out sizes for recessed lights and lengths for linear lighting where these are fixed. A recessed, surface-mounted and track fitting may serve the same project but need different components.
Euron’s Blush Office project in Dammam is a useful example of that mix: it used 170 recessed downlights, magnetic track spotlights and surface-mounted spotlights in different areas. See the project.
3. The light and controls you need
Give the required colour temperature, colour rendering, beam angle and glare requirements where specified. Say whether the lights will be switched, dimmed or connected to a control system such as DALI. Share the controls specification so the proposed drivers can be checked against it.
4. Site and approval requirements
Identify outdoor, wet, dusty or high-temperature locations. Tell the supplier which datasheets, photometric files, samples and compliance documents the consultant requires.
For a UAE project, confirm the requirements that apply to the proposed product and installation. For a Saudi project, confirm the product classification and applicable SASO/SABER pathway for the exact models before shipment. CE, RoHS or an ISO quality-management certificate should not be treated as a substitute for a required local product document.
5. The full supply and delivery scope
Ask the supplier to show drivers, tracks, connectors, profiles, suspension kits and other necessary accessories in the quotation. Share the material approval deadline and whether delivery is needed in one batch or stages.
Send the same information to every supplier. Then compare the proposed models, included accessories, technical documents and delivery scope alongside the price.
Planning a project in the UAE or Saudi Arabia?
Send Euron Energy your drawings, fixture schedule and installation location to discuss a project-specific lighting proposal.
Can we request a quote before the drawings are final?
Yes. Mark the provisional areas and ask the supplier to state the assumptions behind the initial price. Recheck the quote when the drawings are approved.
Are CE and RoHS documents enough for a Saudi lighting project?
Do not assume so. Ask for the documents applicable to the exact product models and confirm the Saudi conformity route with the importer and project team.
Why can two quotes for the same fixture schedule differ?
The proposed drivers, optics, controls compatibility, mounting parts and included accessories may differ. An itemised quote makes those differences visible.
