This project explores a contemporary restaurant lighting concept inspired by the hospitality spaces surrounding London Marina. The interior combines natural wood finishes, dark marble surfaces, and large glass façades overlooking the marina, requiring a lighting strategy that balances warmth with architectural clarity.

The main dining zone is illuminated using adjustable LED spotlights integrated within recessed ceiling tracks. These fixtures are positioned to provide focused light directly onto dining tables without creating glare for seated guests. The beam angles were selected to create subtle pools of light across the table surfaces while maintaining a calm ambient background.

Above the central dining aisle, decorative pendant luminaires were introduced to soften the vertical scale of the space and visually define the seating zones. Their warm filament-style illumination contrasts with the precise directional lighting from the ceiling spotlights.

Along the bar counter and back shelving, magnetic track lighting was installed to allow flexible adjustment of accent lighting. This system enables staff to reposition light heads depending on seasonal displays, artwork placement, or changes to the bar layout.

Ambient lighting was added through concealed linear LED strips integrated into the bar counter base and shelving details, providing a soft glow that highlights materials such as dark marble and timber joinery.

All lighting sources operate at 3000K warm white, selected to maintain a comfortable dining atmosphere while preserving the natural tone of wood and stone finishes throughout the interior.

The result is a layered lighting environment where ambient, accent, and decorative lighting work together to guide circulation, highlight architectural materials, and support the overall dining experience.
